i had a chest x-rays and the findings listed as follows: 2 frontal and lateral views of the chest were submitted. There is a large opacity/consolidation involving the posterior left upper lobe which extends to the hila. This has somewhat lobulated borders along the left hilar region and AP window worrisome for lymphadenopathy or mass. On the lateral projection, the more rounded AP window opacity is difficult to measure but may be around 4.0 x 3.2 cm. The left hilar fullness measures approximately 3.8 x 3.3 cm. The focal opacity measures in total 13.8 x 9.6 cm. Otherwise, generalized increased interstitial markings are present. There is osteopenia of the bones. Impression was listed as follows: large opacity within the posterior left upper lobe which extends to the major fissure and into the AP window/left hillier region with more rounded opacities present. These findings are suspicious for lymphadenopathy or mass. There may be a post obstructive pneumonia as well or the whole opacity represent the mass. No pleural effusion.
